Welcome to the NI Valais Blacknose Club
This Club is for owners, breeders, Valais lovers, in fact anyone with an interest is Valais sheep. It is our aim to promote the Valais breed and share knowledge and information relating to breeding standards, registration, showing, etc and provide a platform where members can ask advice, share tips and post photographs.
The agriculture shows have been approached and all but one now have Valais Blacknose classes in their livestock schedule. We plan on running demo days covering a wide range of topics to include show prep, breeding, sheep health and much more with guest speakers specialising in various topics.
These club events will provide an opportunity for existing breeders to connect and for potential owners to learn about the breed and gain valuable insights before making a purchase.

Valais Blacknose Grading and Exhibition 2025 Day
GRADING ANNOUNCEMENT! We are absolutely delighted to announce a 2025 grading event in early October, at Beattie’s Livestock Centre, Omagh. This event is being hosted under the Valais Blacknose Society, and their terms, and as the regional club we are delighted to be able to support it! This is a great opportunity for Northern Ireland breeders to learn, develop and improve their knowledge. To make the event feasible a minimum of 50 sheep must be entered for grading, which meet the society grading requirements. We will be able to publish finer details in due course, but check your emails from the Valais Blacknose Society, and get ready for a 2025 grading!
A reminder to all our members that sheep are to be presented for grading in a minimum of 10cm of fleece so having this date well in advance will give everyone time to prepare for the event.
